  • 1. Why choose Common Good Real Estate?

    First, we are a local family owned business. We pride ourselves on handling every situation with empathy, compassion, and professionalism. Second, we strive to improve our local community by taking a portion of the proceeds from each transaction and giving back to our local community.

  • 2. Wouldn’t it be better for me to hire a real estate agent and sell the home that way? 

    Every homeowner looking to sell their home is uniquely situated.  While some homeowners may choose to hire a real estate agent and pay the related commissions, we offer the opportunity to not have to pay realtor commissions.  We also offer the opportunity for a seller to sell their home quickly without having to wait for a buyer to qualify for a mortgage and for that lender to ‘approve’ them.  The time value of money is one advantage we offer as sellers can sell their home on their timeframe and move on as needed.

    With us, there’s no need:

    • to clean and stage the home
    • to wait months for a closing
    • endless showings
    • to spend money on repairs to get the home ready to sell
    • to worry about inspection issues that will come up
    • to worry about a drawn out negotiation process 

  • 3. What if I tell you about my home, have you come visit, and then decide I’m not interested?

    That’s ok, just let us know when you are ready.  In the meantime, the information you share with us in confidential and will not be shared.

  • 4. What if I need to sell my home ASAP so that I can move/buy another house/pay off debt?

    No problem! We are able to close as quickly as you like.  In some instances, you need not even be present at the closing as it is highly likely that your attorney can represent you and then just mail/wire you your money.

  • 5. What if I’m interested but I’ve already listed my home with a realtor?

    No problem, contact us anyway and we will discuss your situation and how to best serve your needs.

  • 6. What if I’m in foreclosure/getting divorced/need to evict a tenant/or owe taxes or have a judgment lien on my home?

    We are very experienced in dealing with homeowners in your situation and would be happy to discuss the specifics with you.  No matter your situation, contact us and we can walk you through the options available to you so that we can buy your home and help you solve your problem.

  • 7. What organizations do you donate to?

    Our heart is in improving our community .  To that end, we donate to local food banks and community organizations that help those less fortunate in our community.  Check out our “About Us” tab to see who we’ve been fortunate to help lately.

    In the case of those clients who are selling on behalf of a loved one, we honor the loved one’s memory and will donate to any organization the seller feels will best commemorate the memory of the one they’ve loved and lost.

  • 8. What fees are associated with selling a home to you?

    There are no hidden fees when selling your home to us.  In fact, there are less fees than if you were to sell your home traditionally through a realtor since there are no realtor commissions due.  The only fees you incur are the ones that YOUR attorney tells you there are.

  • 9. How experienced are you?  Can I trust you?

    We have over 12 years of experience in helping homeowners like you.  We have helped sellers who own single family, two family, three and four families, all the way up to apartment buildings sell their properties.  We also have a licensed attorney as a part of our team who has closed over 1500 properties—theres no situation or problem that we feel we can’t handle.

    We are a family owned business—we do this to provide for our three children that you see here on our website.  That’s why we ‘invest with a heart’ because we want to provide for our children and help others out while accomplishing that mission!
